The surprise

She was driving her car furiously. The rain was so heavy that she could hardly see the street. Streets were completely empty, as if she was the only one left on earth, but she was not afraid. Nothing would stop her. Nothing in the world could ever hold her back. The shine in his eyes kept lightening her mind. She had taken nothing from home. She left her clothes and books behind. And a note of course. There would never be a going back. She was released. Free she was from her guilt. Free from the lies. She had to drive about 80 km to reach his hometown. She hadn't told him anything. She would surprise him. Butterflies were dancing in her stomach. The feeling was incredible.Unbelievable. The truth is that they hadn't contacted for days, but this caused her only little stress. She was used to his "-not picking up the phone". The only deep need she felt was to fall in his arms and feel his lips on hers. Nothing else mattered. Nothing else could make her happy.
The rain was getting heavier. Lightnings were striking several trees as she passed through them. She wasn't paying attention. She was dreaming away, when she suddenly felt the noisy fall in an enormous hole. One of those street holes, that are likely to ruin any vehicle. Shit! she shouted. She pulled over and got out of the car. Raindrops falling in her sight while she tried to figure out whether there was any kind of damage. There was no possible way to see whether the tires were okay. She decided to get back in the car and continue her journey. After all she would find out, one way or another. She had to drive another 10 Klm to get to Benedict. She had to make it. Her cellphone rung. In the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere, maybe it would be a good idea to answer it, she thought to herself. Of course her husband. "Where are you Dafnae?" "What's that story with the note?" she heard him saying in a pretty annoyed tone of voice. "Tim, I left you" she answered with a not that confident tone. "You left -M E-???" "So you meant the words you wrote!! Dafnae please get serious and give us a chance to discuss. Come home, please." His last words sounded tender. "Tim, I can't. I 'm so sorry.I really am." She hung up with a move of her finger. A bad feeling again. What if this was fatally wrong? No, no it couldn't be. She was determined. Her life with Benedict would never be the same. They would live happily ever after on the countryside, and have lots of children.
At last she saw several lights at the end of the road showing up. That would be his small town. Her hands became sweaty and her heart begun to beat happily.
She parked her car behind the house, so that it would not be viewable from inside. She had been there once. She decided to enter the back door, the one that was looking to the garden. The surprise should be big. Before even getting her foot on the front step, a woman came into her vision behind Benedict's' yellow-colored curtains. Dafnae felt a bitter taste in her throat. Now, he had shown up and had led his arms around her..They were dancing. Dafnae couldn't move. She was just staring there with her enormous blue eyes and felt her body heavier than ever before. Then he saw her. The door opened and he run towards her. Dafnae wouldn't move. "Dafnae!!!"he shouted. She couldn't hear him.
